  • Are you a Registered Energy Advisor? (Required)
  • Do you have experience in new home construction / renovation industry or home inspection?

Your role as a Consulting Energy Advisor (CEA) is to perform energy modelling, building simulation, and on-site testing services for new construction and existing homes. You’ll comply projects to the EnerGuide Rating System and BC Energy Step Code. As a CEA you provide consulting services in home energy efficiency and building science principals. You’ll work closely with homeowners, builders, and your team as you travel to locations around the region performing evaluation activities and preparing reports. This role is a great chance to utilize and expand your knowledge of building codes and standards, as well as the performance of a variety of different building materials and methods. This knowledge will assist you when walking homeowners and builders through their homes and projects demonstrating what improvements they can make to save money.
 

It would most beneficial if you have some of the following:


  • Diploma in technology or degree in engineering
  • Experience in current construction practices and materials
  • Experience within the residential construction and renovation industries, including experience auditing construction plans
  • Experience with Hot2000, Bluebeam, Sketchup and Microsoft Office Suite
